Bee Learnings

We work together towards a common goal: We have different jobs within our “hive”, which we rotate and move through, but everyone has a common objective.

We swarm: We amass resources for the purpose of reproducing our hive. When the conditions are right, we split our group and start a new home so that both the old and the new hive can accommodate and care for more individuals.

Our work is ritualized: We work on our practices and have consistency and reliability within our hive.

We are brave: We know that a tiny bee can irritate / interrupt a much larger force or animal. We know we are small but we know we can have an impact.

Our impact goes beyond the hive: We pollinate food plans that make life possible for other species. We form the foundation on which more of the food system relies on.

We Dance: Our work is joyful and full of movement. It needs to be in order for us to work together well.

We are democratic: We make decisions with everyone involved. Sometimes using smaller research committees that give information for group decision making

We keep each other safe and healthy: We use propolis to fill cracks, support physical health and to defend our hive from sickness.
